Bryan's Personal Story about Why and How He Saves MoneySubmitted by Blue Mountain Investment Management LLC on December 31st, 2019
Do you ever wonder what you want to do after high school? There are many paths you can take after your high school career. Personally, I have set a goal for myself to attend a four year university after high school. There is a lot of preparation into this, such as saving money, getting good grades, and being motivated. It is never too early to start preparing for college while in high school, the earlier you prepare the easier it will be for you in the long run. The decisions you make today for your future will pay off. My name is Bryan Flores, I'm a junior at Irrigon High School, I have always put thought into my future. My future begins with the choices I make today or tomorrow. I need to begin with saving my money. Making sure I save money is important to me because I would like to attend college after high school and college may get expensive. I have started the process of saving money since I have began working during the summer of my sophomore year. I began by opening a bank account at Banner Bank in Boardman, Oregon. I was able to get my own debit card. When I was getting paid I put my money into my checking and made sure I put some into my savings for my college fund. Now that I have a job, I make sure I spend my money wisely and I always put some money into my savings for college. Anyone can start saving up for college it doesn't matter if it seems really early, it probably isn't. At the age of 16 you're able to have your own debit card at any bank. This is really important to me because I will be heading to college in less than 2 years and I want to make sure Im financially prepared. Staying away from student loans is one of my biggest goals in the process of heading to college, and I hope to accomplish that. Saving up any money I receive from working can help me accomplish my goals for the future.
